Terms of service

Last updated: March 10, 2026

1. Agreement

By accessing or using the Loom service ("Service") operated by Loom ("we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. The service

Loom provides a version control system with content-addressed storage, namespace-based access control, and agent attribution. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at security@getloom.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Your data

You retain all rights to the content you store in Loom. You grant us a limited license to host, transmit, and display your content solely to operate and improve the Service. We do not claim ownership of your repositories, states, or metadata.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service, except as permitted by law.
  • Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code.

6. Access and tokens

Access to repositories is governed by namespace grants and token scopes. You are responsible for managing grants and tokens within your organization. Loom enforces access controls as configured but does not audit the appropriateness of your grant structure.

7. Availability

We target high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We will communicate planned maintenance in advance when feasible.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Loom shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue arising from your use of the Service.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Loom harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases. We will make your data available for export for a reasonable period following termination.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
