Loom ("we", "us", "our") operates the getloom.ai website and the Loom version control service. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

  • Repository data. Source code, states, metadata, and related content you store in Loom.
  • Communications. Messages you send us via email or support channels.

  • Usage data. Pages visited, features used, timestamps, and referring URLs.
  • Device data. Browser type, operating system, and screen resolution.
  • Network data. IP address and approximate geographic location.

3. How we use your information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Loom service.
  • Authenticate users and enforce access controls.
  • Respond to support requests and communicate service updates.
  • Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
  • Generate aggregated, de-identified analytics to improve the product.

4. Data storage and security

Your repository data is content-addressed and stored with cryptographic integrity guarantees. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted by role and logged.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only when:

  • You direct us to (e.g., collaborators you grant access to).
  • Required by law, subpoena, or legal process.
  • Necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Loom or its users.
  • With service providers who process data on our behalf, under contractual obligations consistent with this policy.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Repository data is retained according to the immutability guarantees of the Loom object model. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at privacy@getloom.ai.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. You may also object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@getloom.ai.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and theme preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics, if enabled, use first-party cookies only.

Loom is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
